This is my first completed novel. It is a quest-style fantasy set in a secondary world.

Ancient war between Heaven and Hell unleashed a mysterious power upon the world. Now it is up to an unlikely hero to stop it.

The core idea dates back to a poem I wrote shortly after finishing high school. I made an attempt to write a novel base on that idea back in college in Spring 2007. That time it didn't go anywhere, being abandoned after just one chapter.

I returned to it for NaNoWriMo 2019. The NaNoWriMo goal of 50k words was completed successfully, but I largely stopped writing soon afterwards. I returned to this novel in spring of 2020, during the first COVID-19 lockdown. I ended up tossing some of my work out, and re-writing a few chapters. Then, I continued writing slowly over the summer.

I finally finished the first draft at the start of NaNoWriMo 2020. Writing over 17k words in 5 days. After not enough edits, I queried this novel through 2021, but with no success. So now this story is relegated to being a "trunk novel".
